Travelling/Visa information

A valid passport and visa are required by countries outside the West Africa sub-region. You cannot legally enter or depart Nigeria unless you can prove, by presenting your entry visa, that you entered Nigeria legally. Please note that U.S.-Nigerian dual-national citizens are now required to have a valid Nigerian passport in order to enter or depart the country. Kindly check this website for guidelines.

Delegates should check with their respective State Department’s travel website for caution, travel warnings, travel Alerts on Nigeria or Nigeria’s embassy website for further Information.

Flight Arrangement

We want to announce to all our delegates that SAF has entered into a partnership agreement with one of the safest Airline in Nigeria, Arik Airline on reduced airfare from your point of entry (Abuja or Lagos). This is part of the SAF efforts to minimise stress and also to safe cost for our conference participants. Please kindly send to the LOC (Wale) your flight schedule to facilitate this arrangement. Only delegates whose names are compiled by SAF and sent to Arik Air will benefit from this offer.

International Travel

International travel to and from Calabar goes via Abudja.
Tickets for Abuja-Calabar have to be booked separately e.g. by Air Peace.
Please note that flights from Abuja to Calabar leave in the morning and international flights arrive in the afternoon/evening.

Connecting flight (Abuja/Lagos to Calabar)

As part of our safety measures, we advise our foreign delegates to contact Samson, a travel agent in Nigeria, for hotel and airport taxi arrangement in Lagos and Abuja for their connecting flight to Calabar.
